About the Journal
International Journal for Muslim World Studies (IJMWS) is a double-blind peer-reviewed scholarly journal concerned with interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary studies of Muslim unity and the affairs of Muslim communities published twice a year (March and September) by the International Institute for Muslim Unity (IIMU), International Islamic University Malaysia. The Journal publishes:
- High-quality empirical, theoretical and review articles with clear methodological rigor
- Articles that connect the knowledge of research to real conditions of Muslim communities
- Articles that represent the interests and concerns of a range of stakeholders, such as interest groups, civil society, non-governmental organizations and policy-makers in Muslim societies
- Reviews, interviews and special features on topical issues related to Muslim unity and Muslim affairs
- Debates (academic, professional and societal) on topical issues related to Muslim communities
- Special issues on contemporary themes in global Muslim affairs.
